  • 2 tsp

  • 50 ml
    Hot Water
  • 50 ml
    Milk
  • 1 ч. л.
    Honey
  • 1 cup
    Ice Cubes
  • 0.5 tsp
    Ванильный экстракт
Направления
  • Whisking the Matcha Base

Sift the Matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any clumps. Add the hot water (make sure it's not boiling to avoid bitterness). Use a traditional bamboo whisk (chasen) or a handheld milk frother to whisk in a "W" motion until a thick, frothy layer of bubbles forms on the surface. This step is essential to release the tea's full aroma and create a smooth texture without sediment.

  • Sweetening and Preparing the Glass

Stir the honey or agave syrup and vanilla extract into the warm Matcha mixture until fully dissolved. Fill a tall glass to the top with large ice cubes. The quality of the ice is important—large cubes melt slower, preventing the drink from becoming watered down too quickly.

  • The Layered Pour

Pour your choice of milk into the glass over the ice, leaving about an inch of space at the top. Slowly pour the concentrated Matcha mixture over the milk. This creates a beautiful, Instagram-worthy green and white marble effect. Stir gently before drinking to marry the flavors.

Matcha, a finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea leaves, has been the heart of Japanese tea ceremonies for centuries. Unlike regular green tea, where the leaves are steeped and removed, Matcha involves consuming the whole leaf, providing a concentrated boost of antioxidants and a calm, sustained energy known as “zenergy.” Culturally, it represents mindfulness and purity. This iced latte version bridges the gap between ancient tradition and modern café culture, balancing the earthy, slightly bitter notes of premium ceremonial-grade Matcha with the creamy sweetness of milk.
