Instructions
  • Preparing the Squid

    Rinse squid rings under cold water and pat completely dry with paper towels. Moisture will prevent crispiness.

  • Mixing the Coating In a

    bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well to create an even coating mixture.

  • Coating the Calamari

    Toss squid rings in the flour mixture until fully coated. Shake off excess flour to avoid clumping.

  • Chauffer l'huile

    Heat oil in a deep pan to 180°C. The oil must be hot enough to crisp the coating instantly.

  • Frying the Calamari

    Fry squid in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Do not overcook or they will become rubbery.

  • Draining Remove with a slotted

    spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  • Serving Serve immediately with lemon

    wedges and optional dipping sauces.
